Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a wedding comes with a lot of moving parts — and it’s normal to have questions along the way.

Below are answers to the things couples most often ask as they think through their reception, entertainment, and next steps. If you don’t see your question here, you’re always welcome to reach out.

How involved are you in the planning process?

Very involved — but in a way that feels supportive, not overwhelming. We collaborate ahead of time to talk through the flow of your reception, priorities, and how you want the night to feel. You’re never expected to figure everything out on your own.

Do you help us design the flow of the reception?

Yes. A big part of my role is helping you shape a reception that feels natural and well-paced. We’ll talk through timing, transitions, and how different moments connect so the night unfolds smoothly for you and your guests.

What if we’re not sure what we want yet?

That’s completely normal. Many couples don’t start with a fully formed vision. Through conversation and planning, I help you clarify what matters most and make decisions that feel right for you — not based on trends or expectations.

Will you be the person we work with the entire time?

Yes. You’ll work directly with me from our first conversation through the wedding day itself. There are no handoffs or substitutions — the person you plan with is the person guiding your celebration.

How do you prepare before the wedding day?

Preparation happens well before the wedding. I review details, coordinate timing, and make sure everything is thought through so that when the day arrives, the focus stays on enjoying the celebration — not managing logistics.

How do you choose music for the night?

Music is chosen intentionally for each part of the celebration — based on the flow of the evening, the energy in the room, and the people in it. We talk ahead of time about what you enjoy and what fits your crowd, so nothing feels random or out of place.

What if our guests aren’t big dancers?

That’s more common than you might think. A great reception isn’t about forcing everyone onto the dance floor — it’s about creating an atmosphere where guests feel comfortable, included, and connected. Dancing often follows naturally when the experience feels right.

Do you take requests?

Yes — when they make sense for the moment. Requests are handled thoughtfully so they enhance the experience without disrupting the flow or energy of the night.

How do you keep the night from feeling awkward?

Clear guidance, intentional pacing, and a calm presence go a long way. Guests feel more at ease when they understand what’s happening and what’s coming next — which is why planning and communication matter as much as music.

Is the focus more on dancing or the overall experience?

The focus is always on the overall experience. Dancing is one part of the celebration, but connection, flow, and meaningful moments are what make the night memorable — for you and your guests.

How early do you arrive to set up?

I arrive with plenty of time to set up, test everything, and be fully ready before guests arrive. The goal is for everything to feel seamless — not rushed or visible.

Do you coordinate with our other vendors?

Yes. I work closely with your venue, photographer, planner, and any other key vendors to make sure timing and transitions stay aligned throughout the day.

What happens if the timeline changes?

That’s very common. Because there’s a clear plan in place, adjustments can be made calmly and without disrupting the experience. Flexibility is built into how I approach the day.

Will you help guide guests through the evening?

Absolutely. I help guests understand what’s happening and what’s coming next, so the evening feels organized, comfortable, and easy to follow.

Do you attend the rehearsal?

If I’m providing ceremony coverage, I attend the rehearsal to make sure everyone feels confident and prepared. It’s one more way to reduce stress and ensure the day flows smoothly.

How far in advance should we reach out?

Most couples reach out after securing their venue and date. Availability can vary, so checking sooner rather than later helps avoid surprises — even if you’re still early in the planning process.

What happens after we check availability?

You’ll see whether I’m available for your date and what your next options are. From there, you can choose to schedule a conversation or request more information — whichever feels most helpful.

Does reaching out commit us to anything?

Not at all. Checking availability, asking questions, or scheduling a conversation doesn’t lock you into anything. The goal is simply to help you get clarity and decide whether this feels like the right fit.

Will we speak directly with you?

Yes. Any conversation you schedule will be directly with me. You won’t be passed off or routed through someone else.

What’s the best next step if we’re interested?

If this approach feels aligned, the best next step is to check availability for your date. From there, you can decide how you’d like to move forward.

Ready for the next step?

If this approach feels like a good fit, the next step is simply to check availability for your date.

You’ll be able to:

  • See whether I’m available
  • Understand your options clearly
  • Decide how you’d like to move forward

No pressure.
No obligation.
Just clarity.

You’ll see your options before being asked to commit to anything.
